CMS WEEK - From April 17 to 21, 2023

The CMS WEEK, an international scientific conference, brought together, during 5 days, more than 250 researchers from all over the world who work on the CMS ("Compact Muon Solenoid") experiment, located at the world's most powerful particle gas pedal, the LHC ("Large Hadron Collider") at CERN ("European Centre for Nuclear Research") in Geneva, Switzerland

This experiment is one of the two experiments that led, ten years ago, to the discovery of the Higgs Boson, a major scientific discovery that was widely publicized and that led to a Nobel Prize shortly thereafter.

Many thanks to Julie Malclès, a physics researcher at CEA-Saclay (Commissariat à l'Énergie Atomique) and Christophe Ochando, a researcher at the Laboratoire Leprince-Ringuet of the CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique), for choosing the city of Saint-Malo and Le Grand Large to organize this beautiful event!
This confirms without a doubt the strong appeal of our region and our sea view palace to host international events of the highest quality.
