The Meetings WITH the teams, March 17 and 18, 2023 - testimony of Caroline GUICHARD, member of the organizing team.

"The Palais du Grand Large lives up to its name!"

The annual AVEC meetings took place in Saint-Malo on March 17 and 18. Nearly 1,500 participants, representing the 2,250 French multi-professional health centers, exchanged, debated and reflected in a setting that delighted them. According to Caroline Guichard, a member of the organizing team, "the beauty of the place left its mark on the participants".

Participants spent two days at the convention center. What did they think of it?

They were blown away by its exceptional location. We are in an environment open to the outside world, to the sea and the open sea. It's beautiful, and it brings a form of serenity, of disconnection that we feel even when we work. We were lucky enough to have beautiful clearings, appreciable to take advantage of the sight and the pauses on the square, along the port. We were also entitled to some showers which offered us magnificent colors and a sumptuous rainbow at the beginning of a workshop... it was magic, and I think that we will remember it for a long time.

Did you occupy the whole building?

With 1500 registrants, it was a must. The building being large and on three levels, we set up a group of volunteers to direct people, in addition to the signage. This many people is a first for us: our Meetings usually welcome between 1100 and 1200 people. The destination of Saint-Malo was clearly a determining factor in this success. We know that many people had planned to come a few days before our event or to extend their stay to enjoy the city and the region. The social context has a little upset their plans.

We heard about a successful "festive stopover" in the evening...

An excellent moment and a great success indeed! We decided to hold the healthcare professionals' evening at the Palais du Grand Large, in the Cézembre rotunda, which seemed ideal. We called on the event agency La Belle Éthique to dress the room and on the group Croche dedans, which revisits sea shanties, to liven up the party. The 560 guests enjoyed the event.

What is the purpose of these annual meetings with the teams?

The Meetings are organized by AVECsanté, the national association that represents the Primary Care Teams structured in Multi-Professional Health Centers, and by the hosting regional federation (this year ESSORT* Bretagne, of which I am the director). They are essential for sharing experiences, for moving forward, for discussing what is still an innovative and emerging practice: coordinated team practice. Getting together allows us to maintain a dynamic that is essential for continuing to design new practices, new cooperative ventures, new professions, new tools... And for convincing health actors, politicians and users that the generalization of MSPs is one of the solutions to the crisis facing our health system. In Saint-Malo, the Director General of Healthcare, the Director General of the CNAM, and the Minister of Health and Prevention spoke on a duplex.

What about those who couldn't attend the conference?

You can watch each workshop, each plenary session: everything has been captured and is available on a dedicated platform.
